Code of Conduct

 

Al-Rawdah Club of Saudi Arabia is a proud football institution committed to excellence, professionalism, and the development of football in line with national and international standards. As a club operating within the Saudi football ecosystem, we strive to uphold the highest levels of integrity and professionalism and to set an example for clubs locally and beyond.

Whether you are a full-time employee, part-time staff member, matchday staff, contractor, or volunteer, you play a vital role in upholding the values, reputation, and success of Al-Rawdah Club.

This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour and professional practice expected of everyone associated with the Club. By adhering to this Code, we collectively ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for all.

Working or volunteering with Al-Rawdah Club is a privilege. Compliance with this Code of Conduct is a condition of maintaining your relationship with the Club. Any breach of this Code may be considered misconduct and may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment, volunteer status, or any other association with the Club.


 

1. General Principles

a. Professionalism
All individuals must demonstrate professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance when representing Al-Rawdah Club, both on and off duty.

b. Respect
Treat all colleagues, players, officials, supporters, partners, and external stakeholders with respect and courtesy, regardless of nationality, age, gender, race, religion, disability, or any other personal characteristic. The Club is committed to fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and inclusion.

c. Integrity
All individuals must act honestly, fairly, and transparently in all matters relating to the Club.

d. Compliance with Laws and Policies
All individuals must comply with applicable Saudi laws, Saudi Football Federation (SAFF) regulations, Club policies and procedures, and relevant football governing body rules at all times.


 

2. Workplace Conduct

a. Harassment and Bullying
Harassment, bullying, abuse, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Any such behaviour must be reported immediately to the appropriate Club authority.

b. Safeguarding and Welfare
Strict adherence to safeguarding, player welfare, and ethical standards is a fundamental priority of the Club.

c. Confidentiality
All confidential or sensitive Club information must be protected. Information should only be shared with authorized individuals on a strict need-to-know basis.

d. Substance Abuse
Being under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or prohibited substances while performing Club duties is strictly prohibited.

e. Attendance and Absenteeism
Any absence, lateness, or change to working hours or location must be communicated promptly to the relevant supervisor or line manager, with valid reasons or documentation where required.

f. Appropriate Use of Language
All verbal and written communication must remain professional, respectful, and free from offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language.

g. Personal Appearance
Individuals must maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance appropriate to their role and wear Club-approved attire or uniform where required.


 

3. Matchday Conduct

a. Punctuality
All matchday personnel must arrive on time and be fully prepared for their assigned duties.

b. Supporter Interaction
Engage with supporters in a courteous, welcoming, and professional manner. You may be the primary representative of the Club on matchday, and your conduct should reflect the Club’s values and commitment to a positive fan experience.

c. Safety and Emergency Procedures
All individuals must familiarize themselves with and follow the Club’s safety, security, and emergency procedures.


 

4. Use of Club Resources

a. Facilities and Equipment
Club facilities, vehicles, and equipment must be used responsibly and only for authorized purposes. Any damage or malfunction must be reported immediately.

b. Technology and Systems
Club-provided technology, email systems, and digital platforms must be used responsibly and in accordance with Club policies.

c. Financial Responsibility
All individuals entrusted with Club funds or resources must handle them with honesty, care, and accountability. Misuse or misappropriation will result in disciplinary action.


 

5. Social Media and Public Representation

a. Social Media Use
All staff and volunteers must exercise caution and professionalism when using social media, whether on or off duty. Any content that could damage the Club’s reputation, values, or confidentiality is strictly prohibited.

b. Inappropriate or Offensive Content
Online harassment, discriminatory remarks, abusive language, or inappropriate behaviour toward any individual or group is not permitted.

c. Official Club Accounts
Only authorized personnel may post or communicate on behalf of Al-Rawdah Club through official media or social platforms.

d. Media and Public Statements
Only designated Club representatives may speak to the media or make public statements on behalf of the Club.

e. Fan Engagement
Professionalism must be maintained in all interactions with supporters, both online and offline.

f. Images, Videos, and Tagging
Any personal content referencing the Club must be respectful and appropriate. Unauthorized recording or sharing of content from Club premises or events is prohibited.

g. Monitoring and Enforcement
The Club reserves the right to monitor public online activity to ensure compliance. Breaches may result in disciplinary action.


 

6. Betting and Integrity

a. Betting on Football
In line with Saudi football regulations and international integrity standards, all Club officials, players, staff, and volunteers are strictly prohibited from betting, directly or indirectly, on football matches, competitions, player transfers, team selection, or any football-related matters worldwide.


 

7. Reporting and Accountability

a. Reporting Concerns
Any suspected breach of this Code or unethical behaviour must be reported to Club management or the designated authority.

b. Disciplinary Action
Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary measures, including suspension, termination of employment or volunteer status, or other appropriate actions.

c. Cooperation
All individuals are expected to cooperate fully with any internal investigations.


 

8. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

a. Feedback and Development
Al-Rawdah Club encourages constructive feedback and suggestions to improve operations, culture, and performance. Individuals are welcome to raise ideas through their line managers or Club leadership.
